Just a few notes on happenings at the Lodge.

Don't forget that Mon evenings we have the kitchen open for pizza, fries, salads and pizza burgers. Also bar bingo from 7-9 pm.

Also the pool committee has asked that all children not potty trained to wear swimmies. The water is checked several times a day and the baby pool had to be shut down, disinfected and refilled. So not only was there a cost involved but the baby pool was closed for two days and as we all know, it was pretty hot last week.

Also, Chinese food will be on June 30th.

See you at the Lodge!!

In the last update I mentioned that karaoke would return in August, however, Brian will be back in July

Chinese food for June 16 has been cancelled due to a previous hall rental, it will return on June 30.

George Shusta is now in charge of Hall rentals The hall is available for rent for the sum of $250. Speaking of rentals, the pool can also be rented by Lodge members only.

A Trustee position is open on the Board of Trustees, if interested in serving in this capacity, please see Matt Yartin.

The 4th of July celebration will be held July 1st. The Lodge and pool will be open at Noon.

The cost for a current dues paying member is free! members spouse and family members under the age of 21 is $5 other family members is $10 Children under 5 are free

Non member is $10 per person

This entitles you to swim, fireworks, and food.

Food will be available during the day, but when it is gone, it is gone. Some come early!

And as always, covered dishes and desserts are always appreciated!

FROM THE SECRETARY

Starting Friday the 17th our kitchen will be open to serve Chinese food from 3pm-10pm, we have Terry Tom, former owner of the Royal Tea Garden of Monessen, who will be doing the cooking. If anyone has ever had a taste of his food, you would have to agree that it is the best Chinese food around! However, to make this work, we need help from you. We need help to wait and bus tables if this is going to work. We seriously can?t let the ten people who do everything else take this on all by themselves.

As you all know we have been looking at options in regard to the sustainability of our present facilities. If this works out, this could be a way that we could possibly stay here. Everyone we talked to about this would very much like to stay at our present location. In order to do that, members are going to have to step up. We are not asking you to come every Friday from 3-10pm, maybe just once a month. We are having a sign-up sheet at the bar with the number of helpers we would need every week for a month period. You can sign up for any spot left on the sheet, so if the sheet is filled, you would volunteer just once per month. How much is that to ask? We really need 20 members to step up. If it is left to the 10 who do everything else some of the other things we do might start disappearing, just because it became too much. So think about it, (not too long) and step up, this is your Lodge to.

The office of Exalted Ruler is still open!

Swim passes:

I have been receiving some inquires on the cost of swim passes for the year. With the current financial condition of the Lodge, the officers and some members are trying to put together a financial package that will offset the losses the pool has had over the previous years. If and when they come up with a plan and I know if and how much the pool passes will be I will send out an email immediately. I am asking that you do not wait till there is an answer for the pool passes to pay your dues. Remember, dues are due by midnight March 31 or you will be considered delinquent, with no privileges as a member until dues are paid. If a financial plan cannot be put together, or the price becomes too much, the pool may not open this year. But I can assure you the officers are working hard on this matter and are thinking of some different ways to do it.

See you at the Lodge.
